The nomination procedure for ASCLA awards depends on the award—details are below. The nominating deadline for all ASCLA awards is December 15.
ASCLA Century Scholarship
The scholarship application process is managed by the ALA Office for Human Resource Development and Recruitment. Please visit their scholarship page to review application guidelines and submission instructions.
Cathleen Bourdon Service Award ASCLA Leadership & Professional Achievement Award ASCLA Exceptional Service Award
Download the ASCLA Awards Nomination Form and follow the instructions therein. Per the instructions on the form, nominations for these awards should be submitted to ASCLA headquarters in Chicago.
Francis Joseph Campbell Award
Download the Francis Joseph Campbell Award Nomination Form and follow the instructions therein. Nominations for this award should be submitted directly to the committee chair(s).
ASCLA/Keystone Library Automation System (KLAS)/National Organization on Disability (NOD) Award
Download the ASCLA Awards Nomination Form and follow the specific instructions contained therein for this award. This includes preparing and submitting the following information:
- Project title and period covered by project
- Long-term program goals
- Methodology used to meet specific goals. Were persons with disabilities included in identifying these goals?
- Describe activities carried out in the project year for each specified goal. Please include any documentation to
- support how achievement of the project goals increased opportunities in your community both for acceptance and
- participation of persons with disabilities.
- Describe funding sources and how funding was secured. Please include in-kind service (if applicable), number of
- volunteers and their estimated dollar value.
- Describe how the award prize money will be used and the anticipated result.
