@ your library® - The Campaign for America's Libraries

The American Library Association - the oldest, largest and most influential library association in the world - has launched a multi-year public education initiative called @ your library®, The Campaign for America’s Libraries, to speak loudly and clearly about the value of libraries and librarians in the 21st century. Through the Campaign, ALA is reaching libraries across the country and around the world.

To access information on the current activities, programs and supporters of the Campaign, please visit The Campaign's Web site:

Sponsorship Opportunities @ your library®

From small children captivated by a story hour and job seekers using the Internet to middle-aged people seeking information on parenting and seniors enjoying a book club, as many as 81% of Americans visit libraries every year.  More than 120,000 libraries across the U.S. in schools and universities, business and government offices, in rural and urban areas stand as some of America’s greatest democratic institutions – places for education, self-help and lifelong learning that help to build communities and a more civil society.

While libraries are more popular than ever, they are often taken for granted and do not always command the necessary public attention or sufficient funds to serve all the needs of their communities. Limited budgets must now cover expensive electronic, as well as print, resources and tools.

The American Library Association is seeking sponsors for the Campaign for America’s Libraries who can help ALA reach the library community and beyond to the millions of people libraries serve. ALA works with its Campaign sponsors to develop effective, targeted, educational marketing communications programs that can help a sponsor achieve its public service goals. ALA is selective in developing a portfolio of sponsors who share common values and philosophy and can help further achieve the Campaign’s goals and objectives.

For more information on how you can become a sponsor of the @ your library® Campaign, please contact development@ala.org.
